MECON
has designed and supplied 6 Hi- Cold rolling Mill to M/s Hero
Cycles Limited, Ludhiana. This is combination cold reduction
cum skin pass mill. MECON has been awarded the prestigious
"National Award for Technical Excellance -2000"
by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR),
Government of India.
Gauge
accuracy, excellent flatness, good shape adjustability and
stability are its main features. The mill is fitted with hydraulic
automatic gauge control, Intermediate roll shifting (static
as well as dynamic), positive and negative roll bending, hydraulic
wedge adjustment for constant pass line, quick work roll and
intermediate roll change mechanism, multizone roll coolant
system, man-machine interface and sophisticated automation
system. The mill is capable of rolling up to 0.15 mm thickness
of strips with gauge tolerance of ±5 microns and has
a maximum speed of 800 m/min.
