Arvind Patel, an electronic engineer, working
in Space Application Centre, Ahmedabad maintaining NC machines,
got a chance in 1988 to visit a diamond factory in Surat.
Thus began the long journey …today Sahajanand Laser
Technology is a Special Purpose Machine Manufacturing Group
and is specialized in exclusive designing, developing, manufacturing,
marketing and servicing sophisticated LASER systems and CNC
machines. In 1989, Sahajanand Electronics was formed to manufacture
Textile Controls & Automation thereof. Simultaneously,
after successive meetings with relevant personnel of diamond
industry, Sahajanand Electronics' innovative ideas were implemented
in a Swiss laser machine. Thus in 1990, Company had opened
Job Center for Diamond Processing & thus introduced itself
into laser field. In 1991, it started to work as SAHAJANAND
LASER MECHANIC by manufacturing Laser Machines for Diamond
Processing. In 1992, SAHAJANAND LASER MECHANIC converted into
SAHAJANAND LASER TECHNOLOGY and integration of laser systems
began for other material processing like laser marking, engraving,
drilling, welding, metal & non-metal cutting etc. In 1994,
at IMTEX, Laser Marking system was introduced by SAHAJANAND
LASER TECHNOLOGY. " VAJRA-SLZ" - laser Diamond Sawing
machine saws / cuts the raw diamonds into two parts with the
help of very fine laser beam of 0.008 mm.
